MARCHELINE'S LATEST PROJECT

FOR THE "WALL-O-WITHNAIL"!!!

I know, I know, but really, what did you expect?  Anyway, there's a scene in "Withnail & I" where Marwood is sitting in the bathtub shaving, and Withnail walks in and throws a saveloy and chips lunch down on the shelf he's got balanced across the tub.

I bought several dollhouse items, and made the ashtray myself out of Sculpey, painted it with a tiny brush and a toothpick, and here's the result:

 

I realize that the ashtray I made is a bit large for the scene dimensionally, but I couldn't have made it any smaller without crushing it between my fingertips.  Also, the lip on Marwood's tub is wide enough to cant the mirror sideways, but the lip on my tub is too narrow so the mirror has to stay straight on.

All in all, I'm pretty chuffed with the result.  I initially thought I would like to have Paul McGann sitting naked in my tiny tub, but I looked at the miniature saveloy again and thought better of it.
